Master Classes

Led by Associate Professor Orit Wolf

The Master Classes at the Technion are an innovative platform, designed as open sessions before a live audience. They offer science and engineering students from all faculties and degree levels - most of whom pursue music as a personal passion - an extraordinary opportunity to step onto the stage and perform. These sessions provide not only the invaluable experience of playing before an audience (made up of the Technion community and outside visitors) but also the rare chance to receive real-time guidance that enriches and elevates each performance.

More than a lesson, each class is an artistic hub: a place where ideas are exchanged, interpretive tools are shared, and performance practices are sharpened. The atmosphere is both supportive and professional, embracing participants with encouragement while also opening them to the insight of world-class artists. Here, scientific minds and artistic expression meet, creating a vibrant crossroads of knowledge, courage, and inspiration.

The program was initiated by Associate Professor Orit Wolf upon her appointment as Artist in Residence at the Technion and continues under her leadership. Frequently joined by distinguished international artists, she directs the classes with her unique blend of performance, pedagogy, and dialogue, cultivating an inspiring space that benefits both performers and listeners alike.
